MUSCLES AND MOVEMENT

Once properly equipped with biologically correct anatomy, proportion, and mass, the body is ready to move. If artists intend to communicate a narrative, then they need to consider how the figures are posed, their body language, and muscular display as is appropriate to their situations. Are the correct muscles expanded and contracted? Is the body language appropriate to the narrative being portrayed? Obviously, as viewers, we demand that artists accurately depict these aspects of bodily display or else their narratives will be consequently weakened.
